ABSTRACT
The structure of a compound [compd. Z] obtained from the reaction of 4-amino-3-carbamoyl-5-ethoxycarbonylisothiazole of 4-amino-3-carbamoyl-5-ethoxycarbonylisothiazole [I] with formamide/acetic anhydride mixture has been investigated on the ground of microanalytical and spectral data, and chemical evidences. A mechanism for the reaction of this compound with hydrazine hydrate to give 4-amino-3,5-dihydrazinocarbonylisothiazole has been proposed. The preparation of certain 4-amino-3,5- diarylidenehydrazinocarbonylisothiazoles [VIIa-j] was described
